JAMB REGULARIZATION - All You Need to Know about NYSC JAMB regularization

PCMs should please note that JAMB regularization (Also known as JAMB late application) is not for everyone. This post is solely for those prospective corp members asking about it's importance, processes and related criteria.

What is JAMB Regularization

This is a process an individual mainly students undergo, to ensure that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) validate their current admission status or details with the school that offered them admission for the purpose of either granting one access of securing admission through direct entry programs or proceeding for the National Youth Service Corp program (NYSC)

Reason Why You Should Do Jamb Regularization.

The main aim of regularizing your jamb is to ensure that the Jamb admission board is in possession of your correct and current admission details which tallies with your admission and registration record in the school where you graduated from. Without this, one is prone to face mishaps or certain problems while preparing for programmes like NYSC.

The regularization process gives leverage to candidates with genuine admission but no engaging record with Jamb the ability to register on the NYSC portal during online registration without problem.

As stated earlier on, not all prospective corp members are required to undergo this jamb regularization process. Below are the list of candidates required to regularize their admission with JAMB.

  • Fresh Application candidates: These set of candidates have Jamb registration number. They are those individuals who gained admission with jamb registration number but they don't have Jamb admission letter.

  • Candidates with Change of Admission Letter: These set of candidates also have a Jamb registration number. They are those individuals who gained admission with jamb registration number, but their Admission Letter contains a different course of study or institution name in contrast with the original course or school that offered them admission.

  • Late Application Candidates: These set of individuals don't have a Jamb Registration Number. They are Candidates who gained admission without Jamb registration number i.e their modus operandi of admission did not require jamb registration number. Example of such canduates are people who gained admission through Pre-degree.

Some Other Candidates That Require Jamb Regularization

  • Those who did not collect Jamb form.
  • Those who don't have Jamb Registration Number.
  • Those that were transferred into another course within the same institution.
  • Those whose score was below jamb cut-off mark and still got admission.
  • Those who were offered admission into another Institution in contrast to the one given to them by JAMB.
  • Those who underwent  Remedial Programme
  • Those who were transfered to another Institution from the original institution they were offered admission into
  • Those who did Part-Time

  1. Thanks. Please when I had admission through supplementing my jamb admission letter had B. Agric Home Economics as my course of study but several changes took place in the department, the name of the course changed to Human Ecology and a new course, Nutrition and Dietetics introduced as a sub unit. My result now carries B. School Nutrition and Dietetics. Will this affect me in any way? Do I need to also carry out the jamb regularisation

I used three names when I wrote my jamb. But when am doing the regularization they made a mistake and wrote two names only. I complained to the jamb staff and he told when the admission is giving I will go back for correction of name and put the name that I didn’t put. Another man told me that since I used three names when I was writing the jamb my admission will contain three names that is not a problem.

Because am scared maybe it will resulted to dig problem for me or should I wait and see what will happen maybe since I used three names when I was writing the jamb so when the admission is out it will contain three names

NIN FOR 2024 BATCH C NYSC Mobilization - PCMs To Register With National Identification Numbers

Starting from 2024 Mobilization Exercise, all the eligible Prospective Corps Members are expected to register for Mobilization with their National Identification Numbers (NIN). NYSC introduced the inclusion of the National Identification Number (NIN) in January 2024 as one of the mandatory requirements for online registration. Now many PCMs are not clear about how it works, especially those whose NIN dates of birth differ from their other documents. This simple guide is for you. Your name on NIN must tally with the name on your JAMB Matriculation list . You cannot be John Uche on your NIN and your JAMB Matriculation list name is John Uchechukwu. The names on both of them should correspond and be exactly the same both in name spelling and number of names. The date of birth on NIN doesn't matter, that is to say if the date of birth on NIN is different from your other documents you are safe as the NYSC only extracts your date of birth from your record on JAMB and sometimes WAEC. ...
