Common Problems PCMs Face During & After NYSC Online Registration And Their Solutions.

Hello beloved PCMs, below is a list of major problems which prospective corp members experience during & after the NYSC online registration. 

- UNABLE TO THUMB-PRINT OR THUMB PRINT ERROR.

Sometimes during online registration of a particular NYSC Batch or Stream, there is always a general issue of thumbprint which arises. Whenever this issue arises, PCMs might get notification errors like "cannot connect to thumb-print server" in the thumb printing stage while trying to register. 

For anyone experiencing such in any NYSC Batch or stream just be aware that it's a general issue and it will be resolved in due time by the NYSC management. 

Now what should you do? Be patient and wait for the issue to be resolved. You can keep asking in NYSC platforms you belong like whatsapp groups whether the thumb printing has started going through.

- UNABLE TO PRINT GREENCARD ISSUE.

Clearly take note that this is a technical error issue from NYSC which is general and not personal. It will definitely be rectified and PCMs who are yet to print their Green-Card will be able to do so soonest before the Call up letter is out. As for those who could print out their Green-card on time, Congratulations. 

- NYSC KIT SPECIFICATION AREA EMPTY ON GREENCARD. 

Now this is a very common problem which arises in almost every NYSC batch. Most, if not all PCMs are always worried about this issue and hence they start to panic. After printing out the greencard some PCMs realise that the kit specification area is without specifications, in fact its rather empty and just underlined in red. 

Please kindly note that this is actually a general problem due to reasons unknown and is absolutely nothing to worry about. So you are advised to avoid Panicking, print out your greencard coloured on normal white A4 paper (Do not print your greencard on concord or any other hard paper in contrast to the general paper used for printing greencard). 

Also endeavor not to laminate your green card as warned in our previous post and rememeber to sign at the below right corner on the space provided ( Sign before Photocopying it).

- LOST OR BROKEN SCHOOL ID CARD ISSUE:

For those whose school identity card has been collected by their institution, broken or misplaced, your school is supposed to issue a new one to you for NYSC with 1 year validity or issue you an original school certificate to suffice or cover up for the ID card ( original certificate covers up for ID card). 

If this is not done for you don't panic, visit any legit cyber cafe close to your school for them to make the school ID-card for you. Trust me, most of these cafes are the ones who make the ID-card for the school and they know very much about the design. But make sure you apply to get one from the school first before optioning for the Cafe.

- ISSUE OF "SORRY YOU DO NOT BELONG TO THIS STREAM"

Now this particular problem steers up aggravation in the minds of most PCMs. If you will agree with me, every prospective corp member who has successfully registered online always wish to go with the immediate stream that are about going to camp and seeing a pop-up notification from NYSC which reads "You do not belong to this stream" is very disheartening. 

The good news is that if you are seeing this notification on your dashboard, you have nothing to worry about.  kindly disregard or ignore it and don't panic. Every registered PCM will know which stream they belong to only when NYSC Call-up letter is out.

Camp date for 2024 Batch C has been officially fixed. If you have come across the circular below which has the date for 2024 Batch C Stream 1 orientation camp as 27th November 2024, without wasting much of your time here is all you need to know about it. NYSC Call Up Letter Printing Date & What To Do Once You Get Your Call Up Letter

Before we proceed you should be aware that the official camp date for 2024 Batch C has not been fixed. Moving ahead, although there has not been any official announcement by NYSC when call-up letter will be out but you can always know the date once camp date is revealed and the official camp date has already been announced as earlier stated. In order to estimate the date call up letter will be out, kindly subtract 3 or 4 days from the date that NYSC fix for orientation camp of any particular NYSC Batch or Stream. As a result of so many factors that affected the mobilization process of the National Youth Service Corps Programme for 2024 Batch C Prospective Corps Members, a particular question on whether or not there will be a stream 2 for 2024 Batch C has began to sprout with no viable answer yet as regards to it.  Speculations on whether there will be stream 2 for the upcoming 2024 Batch C PCMs is as a result of certain factors that usually affect mobilization processes like that of 2023 Batch A which included the general and gubernatorial elections that led to PCMs not going to camp the usual month they were supposed to report as in previous Batches.
