This Is Why NYSC Is Yet To Pay The 77k Alawee Increament As Promised

There has been a press release by the NYSC management regarding payment of the 77k alawee that was supposedly increased from 33k.

A circular regarding the situation of things has been released to all corps members and NYSC stake holders, with hope that it will help everyone understand. Below is the information contained in the memo that was released;

This is to inform the Corps members, Corps employers and other NYSC stakeholders that the Federal Government has not yet released the promised increment In the personal allowance to Corps members.

However, arrears will be paid into Corps members accounts with effect from July 2024. 2023 Batch C Corps members should be rest assured that all their entitlements will be paid.

Also we wish to inform the Corps members and the general public, particularly our stakeholders that payment for their participation as Adhoc staff in the last gubernatorial election in Edo State ts solely the responsibility of INEC and not NYSC Management.

This is to debunk the rumors making the rounds that NYSC has deliberately withheld the said allowance. However, the management is making all efforts to ensure that the institution saddled with this responsibility pays the concerned Corps members as soon as possible.

We enjoin our Corps members and stakeholders to continue exercising patience and understanding with the scheme. Thank you.

It is no new information that most Prospecting Corp Members (PCMs) who successfully registered for the just concluded NYSC 2024 Batch C Stream 2 online registration exercise are still seeing the "Awaiting Call-up Number" notification despite after paying for the Call-up/Exclusion letter. This situation has sparked panic among PCMs with lots of rumours flying around these past few days as the date for printing of call-up letter and orientation camp draws closer. It can be recalled that some PCMs even had to go to the extent of visiting the NYSC secretariat closest to them to lay complaints about the supposed underlying issue of which most were sent back and told to be patient and wait for their call-up number to be released in due time. After getting to camp you can officially relocate to a state of your choice based on 4 grounds legally approved by the NYSC body. Below are the 4 major grounds with which corpers can use to relocate to the state of their choice: MARITAL GROUND This ground was specifically designed for Married women and nursing mothers who were unfortunately not posted to the state of their husband's residence. If they can successfully provide all the necessary documents required for the process, they will be relocated to any state of their choice provided its the state where their husband reside.
